1. Simposio Malagana 30 Años, Symposium, Palmira, Colombia (and online)

Thirty years since the discovery of (and major looting of) the site of Malagana, Colombia this symposium will combine input with archaeologists, researchers, as well as some of the “guaqueros” or looters who participated in the so-called “gold rush”. For those who cannot attend, there will be a live broadcast and you better believe that I will be watching it!

2. Łukaszowcy. Wielki powrót, Exhibition, Warsaw, Poland

Seven paintings and four tapestries that have been recently recovered by Poland are on special exhibition at the National Museum.

7. Heritage Recovery in Mosul: Building Capacity for Professional Development, Training, Iraq

For young architects and civil engineers from Mosul who are “interested in acquiring skills to contribute to the recovery of heritage in Mosul? If so, you are invited to apply for a field-based training course on the recovery of the city of Mosul, organized by ICCROM in collaboration with UNESCO.” Programme is in English.

10. Fellowships for Early Career Researchers, Funding, United Kingdom

This is a “watch this space” but the V&A has been selected to act as the coordinator for a new funded scheme of fellowships for Early Career Researchers in the galleries, libraries, archives, and museum sector to conduct research at heritage institutions. There will be a total fund of 2mil GBP and the opening date for applications is next month.
